In 2002, he was appointed as an International Representative, working under UBC Eastern District Vice President Bill Michalowski and his successor, Frank Spencer. Harchetts, Vice President<br>Painters</strong><br><br>Harry James Harchetts was born on October 24, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey to Harry Harchetts and Margret Harchetts (Williams).  His father was a Teamster and his mother a homemaker.<br><br>Harry moved with his family to Rahway, New Jersey in 1956. He attended Rahway public schools and Union County Vocational school which he graduated from both in 1973.  Growing up in Rahway, Harry was involved in recreational sports as well as high school football, wrestling and baseball.  Also, Harry was involved with being a Master Counselor of DeMolay (Young Mason's) as well as a Naval ROTC program.<br><br>In November 1980 Harry married Barbara Klewiewski of Rahway and built a home in Toms River, New Jersey.  Harry and Barbara have been married for 24 years and have two sons.  Barbara is an Independent Representative for Silpada Jewelry.  Adam Joseph Harchetts, 24 years old, is a body builder working for Animal Products.  He is looking for a career in criminal justice and has just applied and is in the process of testing to the Toms River Police.  Andrew Thomas Harchetts, 21 years old, is currently in Ocean County Police Academy for Lavallette Police Department.<br><br>In 1974 Harry joined Local Union 1976 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Drywall Tapers & Finishers as an apprentice.  Upon completing his apprenticeship, Harry became involved with his union as an Apprentice Trustee, as well as an instructor for the Apprentice Program.  During this time, Harry received trade related degrees from University of Kansas City, Tulane, University of Milwaukee Wisconsin and Marshall University.  In 1986 he received the title of a Master Trainer from the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.    Harry, being an advocate union member and spokesman for his brothers and sisters, was elected President of Local Union 1976 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Drywall Tapers & Finishers in 1985, where he served his brothers and sisters for 16 years.<br><br>In 2001 Harry was appointed as Organizer for International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 711.  After 2 years as Organizer, Harry was promoted to Field Representative covering the Mercer County area. Egan attended St. Peter's Grammar School and graduated from St. Peter's High School in 1955. In 1957, Mr. Egan started his apprenticeship years with Local Union 456 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).  For the last forty-four years he has served as an officer in Local 456 in various positions:  elected to the executive board in 1962, elected President in 1974, co-chaired the Health and Welfare, Pension and Annuity Funds for the local, and elected Business Manager in 1986, a position he still holds today.<br><br>He has served as Vice President of both the New Jersey State Building Trades and the New Jersey Electrical Workers Association.  He is also the Chairman of the New Jersey Electrical Workers Temporary Disability Fund.  In addition, he is a member of the National Electrical Code Committee of the National Fire Protection Association, and a former member of the council on Industrial Relations for the Electrical Contracting Industry, Washington, D.C.<br><br>In 1979, he served as a member of the New Brunswick Ethics Board.  He has more than 20 years experience as New Brunswick City councilman and served nine years as council president. On November 6, 2001, he was elected to the New Jersey General Assembly to represent the 17th Legislative District.  The 17th District includes Highland Park, Milltown, New Brunswick, North Brunswick, and Piscataway in Middlesex County and Franklin Township in Somerset County.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Assembly Labor Committee. He is a charter member of Keep Middlesex County Moving (KMM), the transportation management association of Middlesex County.  KMM aims to improve methods of mobility for county residents, to reduce traffic congestion and to foster better air quality.<br><br>Mr. Egan is an active member of his church and community.  As a member of St. Peter's Parish in New Brunswick, he served as vice-president of the parish council.  His dedication to the church earned him the Monsignor James Harding Medal, an award honoring community service. He graduated from Elizabeth's Thomas Edison Vocational Tech in 1964 and served overseas in the US Army as Sergeant from 1968 to 1970.<br><br>In 1965, John began his career as an Apprentice Ironworker with Local 480.  In 1968, he became a Journeyman Ironworker and, after returning from overseas, became an officer of the Local 480 Sick Fund.  He was employed as a Foreman and Superintendent in Union County and General Superintendent around the state of New Jersey.  John has served as a member of Local 480's Examining Committee and Executive Board, and has served as the local's Vice President.  In 1992, he was elected President, and in 1994, he assumed the duties of Business Manager, Financial Secretary and Treasurer, the positions he still holds today.<br><br>John has also served on several committees.  He is the Secretary-Treasurer of the District Council of Northern NJ Ironworkers and Trustee to funds of Northern NJ Ironworkers. He completed a four year apprenticeship and performed on numerous jobs as journeyman, foreman and shop steward. In addition to his work at Local Union 52, Marty was Recording Secretary for ten years and a member of the Entertainment Committee for twenty years and Chairman for fourteen years. <br><br>Marty served on the IBEW Local Union 52 Executive Board for fifteen years, was Assistant Business Manager for Local Union 52 for fourteen years, has been one of IBEW Local Union164's Business Agents for the past six years and has served as a Representative to the Essex-West Hudson Labor Council for twenty years. <br><br>Marty has served on the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee for IBEW Local Union 52 for fourteen years, has been a Representative to the Essex County Building Trades for twenty years and Vice President for nine years and President for six years. Marty has served as a member of the New Jersey State Building and Construction Trades Council Executive Board for the past six years.<br><br>Marty Schwartz has served with honor and responsibility on numerous committees representing Local Unions 164 and 52 and negotiated contracts with the National Electrical Contractor Association and with Anheuser-Busch. He attended Newark's St. Ann's Grammer School and graduated from Vailsburg High School.  He served in the NJ Army National Guard for six years.  Since 1979, he has been an active member of Newark's United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry (Sprinkler Fitters) Local 696.  Joe comes from a union family; his father, two brothers, two uncles, son, and four nephews are all members, past and present, of Sprinkler Fitters Local 696.  Joe's father held many offices in the Local which inspired him to run for office when he became a journeyman.<br><br>Since 1989, Joe has been elected to his local's negotiating committee five times.  He also served on the Executive Board from 1989 to 1992.  Since 1992, he has been elected Business Agent five times.  In 1989, Joe was appointed to amend Local 696's Constitution and By-Laws, which his father had helped to write in 1964.  In 2000, Joe was appointed Chairman to again update the local's Constitution and By-Laws.<br><br>Joe currently serves as President of the Monmouth and Ocean Counties Building and Construction Trades Council.  He also sits on the County BCTCs of Union, Middlesex, and Somerset counties.  He is a member of the NJ State Building and Construction Trades Council's Executive Board, as well as the New Jersey State Pipe Trades' Legislative Committee.<br><br>Joe and his wife, Diane, have five children. \n";

In 1988, he was elected as a Business Agent of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 322.  In 2002, Jim was elected as the Business Manager of the local.<br><br>Jim served on the United Camden & Vicinity Building and Construction Trades Council as the Secretary from 2000 to 2004.  In 2004, he was elected as its President.<br><br>As part of the Building Trades strategy of community involvement, Jim has worked with many charities.  Recently the Building Trades and the good union contractors in South Jersey participated with the \"Heart of Camden\" in conjunction with American Community Partnerships not only to renovate a home in Camden, but also to bring hope to young men and women by introducing them to the building and construction industry.<br><br>Despite Jim's busy schedule, he still finds time for public service.  He currently serves on the United Way Board, the Camden County Improvement Authority, the local Red Cross Board, and as a trustee at Rowan University.<br><br>Jim believes in creating relationships which, in turn, will create enhanced work opportunities for everyone in the Building Trades. \n";

He graduated from Warren Hills Regional High School, Washington, New Jersey in 1977.<br><br>In 1980, Mike began his career as an Apprentice with Local 581 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).  He completed a four year apprenticeship and performed on numerous jobs as journeyman, foreman, and shop steward.  Mike also served on the IBEW Local Union 581 Executive Board.<br><br>In 1993 Local 102, 367 and 581 amalgamated and Mike served on the Pension and Annuity Fund as Trustee for 10 years and currently is an active participant on the Committee as a Business Agent.  Mike also has served on the Joint Apprentice and Training Committee (JATC) for 10 years and is still active.  He is head of the Safety Committee for Local 102 and a certified OSHA 5600 Trainer, 40 Hour Hazardous Waste, United States Department of Labor National Mine Health & Safety Trainer, and a representative for New Jersey State Safety Council Expo.  He has received an endorsement from National Safety Council Labor Award presented by International President of IBEW, Mr. Edwin D.
